This autumn, high-end furniture is reinventing itself around more sculptural lines, warm materials and bolder colours. It is a shift towards interiors that are elegant, comfortable and, above all, more personal.
Modular sofas remain at the heart of the trends. Compositions are becoming freer, with rounded shapes, chaise longues, asymmetrical modules and generous seating. The sofa becomes a true architectural element around which the living room is organised.
Natural oak is making a strong comeback, with matt, lightly smoked or textured finishes that bring out the grain of the wood. Paired with fabric, stone or lacquer, it adds warmth and authenticity to contemporary interiors.
Beige, greige and cappuccino tones remain essential, but they are now enriched by more intense shades: olive green, chocolate brown, cognac, terracotta, burgundy and deep blue.
The aim is no longer to create a perfectly tone-on-tone interior, but to introduce a few carefully chosen accents of colour.
Dining tables and coffee tables are taking on more sculptural forms, with architectural bases and noble materials such as travertine, marble, ceramic and solid wood.
Lacquer is also making a comeback on furniture, often combined with wood or metal to create sophisticated contrasts.
Finally, the 2026 trend favours tactile materials and more spontaneous combinations: textured fabrics, supple leather, ribbed wood, natural stone and brushed metals.
High-end furniture is becoming less uniform and is increasingly conceived as a collection of beautiful pieces, each chosen for its character.
At Thommessen Intérieurs, we select collections that combine contemporary design, comfort and exceptional materials to create elegant, timeless interiors.
